While the Atlanta Pride Festival takes place in October, coinciding with National Coming Out Day, Atlanta Pride & our Partners also produce multiple events in the month of June. These events commemorate the Stonewall Riots that took place in NYC in 1969.

“Examining What We Have & Where It Can Take Us” is a poetry workshop that will be led by Pushcart Prize nominee Dustin Brookshire. Workshop participants will bring in one “finished” poem or a poem in progress for a semi traditional workshop experience and embrace the words of Ellen Bryant Voigt, “It’s all a draft until you die.” Then the poets will participate in a generative exercise!
