Chris McCain has a passion for helping organizations find the resources they need to work for social justice and achieve lasting change.
Since 2018, Chris served as Director of Philanthropy at The Bail Project, a national nonprofit organization working to make sure that no one is sitting in jail pretrial because of their race or poverty. While at The Bail Project, Chris built a diversified fundraising program from the ground up, leading his team to raise more than $100 million over five years from corporate, foundation, and individual donors.
Prior to joining The Bail Project, Chris was Director of Strategic Partnerships at the Forum for Theological Exploration where he oversaw leadership development programs for young adults across North America. He also worked in foundation and corporate relations at Emory University and was an inaugural Fellow at the Jessie Ball duPont Fund.
A native of metro Atlanta, Chris holds a Master of Divinity from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Arts from Davidson College. He is a member of the LEAD Atlanta Class of 2018. After living in Los Angeles for the past five years, Chris is excited to be back in his hometown.
