Originally from Puerto Rico and raised in Pennsylvania, Luis moved to Atlanta in 2018, where he deepened his passion for creating positive social impact through representation and belonging. His connection to Atlanta Pride began in 2019, when attending his first festival became a life-changing moment that strengthened his commitment to LGBTQ+ advocacy.

Luis’ dedication to the community traces back to his undergraduate years at Georgia State University, where he organized students to attend Atlanta Pride and led LGBTQ+ programming; a commitment he continued after graduation. He later served briefly on the board of Stonewall Sports Atlanta, supporting its mission of connection, wellness, and inclusive recreational spaces.

With experience across mission-driven institutions and global brands, Luis brings to Atlanta Pride a blend of creativity, strategic insight, and a belief in the power of storytelling to build bridges and strengthen communities. He is passionate about amplifying marginalized voices, fostering meaningful partnerships, and helping create welcoming, affirming spaces for all.

Luis is a strategic communicator and community-centered creative leader whose work focuses on storytelling, inclusion, and building spaces where people feel seen and connected. He currently works in content strategy and creative operations, helping organizations communicate with clarity and authenticity across diverse audiences.

Luis shared that his desire to support Atlanta Pride stemmed from his belief that “the organization has a rich history that deserves to be protected, amplified, and carried forward with intention. Atlanta Pride serves as a vital connective force for our city’s LGBTQ+ community, and I want to help strengthen that role by expanding year-round engagement through meaningful partnerships, educational programming, and opportunities for connection that go far beyond the festival weekend.”
