ATLANTA (OCTOBER 9, 2026) – Atlanta Pride today announced the cancellation of all Saturday, October 10, programming at the 2026 Atlanta Pride Festival in Piedmont Park due to the threat of severe weather and anticipated hazardous conditions across the Atlanta area.
The safety of festival attendees, volunteers, performers, vendors, staff, and the broader community remains Atlanta Pride’s highest priority.
The cancellation applies to Saturday, October 10, ONLY. Atlanta Pride fully expects to proceed with festival programming and the Atlanta Pride Parade on Sunday, October 11, as scheduled, weather and safety conditions permitting.
“While this is an incredibly difficult decision, the safety and well-being of our community must always come first,” said Chris McCain, Executive Director of Atlanta Pride. “Atlanta Pride is a celebration of resilience, unity, and community, and those values remain at the heart of everything we do. We are working diligently to ensure that Sunday’s festivities can move forward safely, and we look forward to coming together to celebrate Pride.”
Atlanta Pride is actively working with its production teams, performers, vendors, and community partners to make necessary adjustments to Sunday’s entertainment lineup and festival programming. Atlanta Pride will share additional details, including an updated schedule, as soon as they become available.
All guests who purchased a Saturday-only Premium Pass will have their passes honored on Sunday, October 11. Additional information regarding Premium Pass access and logistics will be communicated directly to pass holders.
