Ready to help shape the biggest Pride event in Atlanta? Our programming committee is where community leadership meets the spirit of service! These incredible folks lead the charge for the annual Atlanta Pride Festival and Parade. They’re not just planners—they’re our Pride ambassadors, making sure every event throughout the year is a blast and our October festival and parade are truly unforgettable.
By joining the committee, you’ll be part of the team that strategizes, plans, and coordinates all the fun. Members commit to attending quarterly meetings to discuss key topics like strategic planning and selecting our Grand Marshals. You’ll also need to give at least 30 hours of your time in a calendar year (with 10 hours during the festival weekend) and pay membership dues. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll make a real impact!
To become a committee member, fill out our membership application. One of our existing members will reach out to you soon! Applications are typically open from March to June each year. We review each one for relevant experience, potential conflicts of interest, and how well candidates align with our goals. If you’re chosen, you might be asked to join a group interview with current committee members. And if you really shine, you could be selected to lead specific parts of our festival and events as a committee chair.
If you love Atlanta Pride and want to be a key part of the action, this is your chance! Get involved and help us make this year’s festival the best one yet!
