THE COMMITTEE
Atlanta Pride's Programming Committee is composed of dedicated volunteers that work to produce the Annual Atlanta Pride Festival and Parade along with other events aligned with APC's mission. In addition to attending and volunteering events throughout the year and the Atlanta Pride Celebration, these volunteers attend quarterly committee meetings and vote on issues important to the organization including strategic goals and Grand Marshals.
Membership applications are reviewed by a membership committee that is made up of current volunteers. The Membership Committee reviews the prospective member's skills as they align to organizational goals, their relevant experience, and any potential conflicts of interests. A member may be selected to be interviewed by one or all of the members on the committee in a group interview setting. If selected for membership, members must serve a minimum of thirty (30) hours in the current calendar year (10 of which must be during the festival weekend) and pay current membership dues. From the Programming Committee, APC staff selects committee chairs to lead specific portions of events and/or initiatives. If you are interested in becoming a committee member, please complete the membership application and a member of the committee will be in contact soon! Applications are typically open from March - June of each year.
