Atlanta Pride is powered by community. Each year, hundreds of volunteers help us create meaningful programs, support our Festival and Parade, and make sure our work reflects the people we serve. Whether you want to help during Festival weekend, support a volunteer committee, or stay involved year-round, there is a place for you here.
Before You Apply
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Atlanta Pride. Our volunteer opportunities change throughout the year, with the highest need during Festival season. This page is designed to give you a general overview of how volunteering works, what opportunities may be available, and where to find current applications and resources.
As annual applications open, this page will be updated with the most current forms, deadlines, and committee information.
Ways to Volunteer
Festival Volunteer
Festival Volunteers support the operations of Atlanta Pride’s annual Festival and Parade. These roles may include guest support, logistics, parade support, wellness, volunteer check-in, and other event-based needs. Opportunities and shift availability vary from year to year based on operational needs.
General volunteer applications go live at the beginning of June. Sign up for our newsletter above or check back in mid-June to find our open application!
Volunteer Committees
Atlanta Pride’s Volunteer Committees help guide and support major areas of Festival planning and community engagement. These committees are volunteer-led and play an important role in shaping both the Festival experience and select year-round efforts. Committee members typically support planning, coordination, and on-site leadership within their assigned areas.
Committee Chairs and Co-Chairs
Committee Chairs and Co-Chairs provide leadership for volunteer committees and help guide planning, communication, and team coordination throughout the year. These roles are best suited for returning volunteers or those interested in taking on a more involved leadership position within Atlanta Pride.
Committee Chair applications will open early in the year in February, and the form will be sent out to all previous Atlanta Pride volunteers within the last 3 years of the Festival.
Year-Round Volunteer
In addition to Festival season, Atlanta Pride occasionally seeks volunteers for special events, outreach, office support, community partnerships, and other organizational projects throughout the year. These opportunities may be short-term, project-based, or recurring depending on organizational needs.
