Atlanta Pride is excited to welcome our 2026 Undergraduate Summer Intern, Phoenix Brannon.
As part of Atlanta Pride’s ongoing efforts to prioritize projects that document and celebrate the history of Atlanta Pride and the LGBTQ+ community across the Southern region, Phoenix will lead research and community outreach efforts for a project focused on our Grand Marshals. This initiative will focus on preserving and expanding Atlanta Pride’s historical records of our Grand Marshals, dating back to 1992.
Throughout the internship, Phoenix will help research archival materials, connect with past Grand Marshals, gather stories and updates, and assist in building a lasting database that honors the people who have helped shape LGBTQ+ history in Atlanta and beyond.
We are incredibly excited to have Phoenix join us for this work and cannot wait to see how this project grows over the coming months.
