Preserving Pride: LGBTQ+ Social Spaces in Atlanta

June 13 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Event Website:

A Journey of Freedom and Agency

Join us for this year’s Preserving Pride event, a powerful exploration of the evolution of LGBTQ+ social spaces in Atlanta. From bars and clubs to bookstores, community centers, and homes, these spaces have long served as vital hubs for connection, resilience, and activism.

Through a dynamic panel discussion, storytelling, and archival insights, this event invites participants to reflect on the history of queer spaces in our city while imagining what more inclusive and affirming spaces can look like in the future.

Following the discussion, guests are invited to stay for a reception and continue the conversation with community leaders, historians, and advocates.

Panelists Include:

  • Tony Holland, Designer, Anthony Holland Originals
  • Jocelyn Lyles, Co-Founder, Hospitality Atlanta
  • Rev. Duncan E. Teague, Lead Minister, Abundant LUUV
  • Sara Luce, Co-Owner, Charis Books & More

Moderator:

  • Wes Nimmo, Historian, New South Associates

Come be part of a meaningful conversation that honors the past and helps shape the future of LGBTQ+ spaces in Atlanta. Reserve a free spot now.
